The show was incredible! It went so well! All of us girls ( Including me!:) completed the opening number without a major crash! ;) I was so proud - to me the opening number is the most nerve racking, cause I can NOT dance! lol! We all got along so great and helped each other through out backstage, we all helped each other getting down those metal stairs in our spiked heals (challenge for some of us!) and each of us did an INCREDIBLE job "strutting our stuff!"
The show went straight from 7 to 3! That is when I started feeling the nerves! :0 I was second to be called out of Joy & Kayla! Then we went straight into our 3 on stage questions! We all did FABULOUS answering our questions! My questions were: 1) If I were to start charity describe it 2) Who do I most admire & 3) What is the most important lesson I would teach my child! After the questions was a quick break than awards!
Once Kayla was called for 2nd runner-up, It was down to Joy & I! When they called Joy's name for Runner-Up it tricked me and I didn't realize that I had won! LOL! I don't think it hit home until I laid in bed that night!

I would've not liked to be a judge, that was a hard choice to chose just one, THANK YOU SO MUCH for choosing me as your Mrs. Texas!
I apologize if I was not 100% myself some Saturday. My poor little guy awoke that morning with a mild fever and extremely cranky ;( I knew I had to get my head back in the game but as a "mommy" I felt horrible because when he starts to get sick I'm the only person he wants ( But he did get to come to the show still & My poor husband had to chase him around the theatre! Because even though he didn't feel great, as a 2 yr old he still wanted to play and run and not be confined to a seat! lol... My sincere apologize for those that sat around him :)- lol! But it was SO great to hear him screaming "Go Mommy! Go!" :) Made me feel wonderful!
I'd like to Thank My family for coming out and supporting me & "Frankie" of Frankie Couture gowns! For all the moral support and help through out the preparation, for getting it "right on!" once again with my gown selection, and for your continued friendship! I pray you can come to nationals to cheer me on! :)
